Connie
Francis (born Concetta Rosa Maria Franconero, December 12, 1938) was
a top singer of Italian heritage of 1950's. She often was called as
MGM Nightingale mainly because of her contract with MGM records. I
loved her melodious voice.
In
'Long forgotten musical tracks' this week, here is a song, which was
once extremely popular. I heard this song for the first time in the
Alfred Hitchcock film The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956) starring Doris
Day and James Stewart in the lead roles. The song, which was sung by
Doris Day in the film, received the 1956 Academy Award for Best
Original Song. However, here is the version sung by Connie Francis,
thanks to You tube.
