Long forgotten musical tracks # 90

Now all I have is memories of Honey
And I wake up nights and call her name
Now my life's an empty stage
Where Honey lived and Honey played
And love grew up
And a small cloud passes overhead
And cries down on the flower bed
That Honey loved

An American singer Bobby Goldsboro, recorded this week's song in 1968. "Honey (I Miss You)," is a song where the narrator mourns his deceased lover, beginning with him looking at a tree in their garden, remembering how "it was just a twig" on the day she planted it. The song spent five weeks at No. 1 of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. It reached No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart.
